hello world!

H-1B Visas

Timothy Jones is an experienced H1B Visa attorney in Idaho Falls, and represents a variety of employers in the process. His major clients include companies in Eastern Idaho and in Utah. He offers flat rates for H-1B cases. An employee who wants an H-1B visa should ask their employer to contact Mr. Jones directly.

In the vast majority of cases, H-1B cases are available just once per year, through a lottery system. It’s vital that employers begin the process in January or February in order to meet the March deadline for the lottery.

The H-1B lottery has recently changed, and so Mr. Jones is able to quote a single flat fee for entering the H-1B lottery, and additional fees only once an employee has won the lottery.

Most H-1B employees will have at least a 4-year degree and an employment offer that closely matches that degree. However, Mr. Jones has successfully handled cases where the employee did not have a 4-year degree.

The typical H-1B process works as follows: the employee graduates from college and starts working for an employer on OPT. The employer contacts us in January to begin the H-1B process. We submit the lottery application in March, and initial lottery winners are announced in late March or early April. The employer then hires us to take on the rest of the case, and we collect additional evidence and file everything prior to the end of May. We continue with the case until the H-1B visa is granted, typically on or about October 1.

We also assist with H-1B visas where the employer is currently abroad, and with H-1B visas that don’t need to enter the lottery (for universities and other employers closely associated with institutes of higher learning).

We’ve successfully handled a wide variety of H-1B cases, including for several different software-related positions, scientists, public relations specialists, and recruiters. Our successes include complex cases. We represent several companies in the Idaho Falls area and in Utah.
